1-2-3 Festival Roots Compagnie

1-2-3 Festival is a a reapeat of Roots Festival, a yearly returning contemporary dance festival coproduced by Roots Compagnie and OverKop Gent. 1-2-3 symbolizes the 3 pillars we stand for: youth watching, creating and performing dance and the 3 main acts: Roots Compagnie, OverKop Gent and both of them together. After a succesful premiere end of june 24 at the Minardschouwburg, this festival evening is taking place in Ghent again.

Program:
* ‘Lilhurub’, a contemporary dance performance by Roots Collective, under the artistic direction of Helena Vandecasteele
* A dance piece created and performed by the youth of Overkop in an intensive dance trajectory at Roots, under the guidance of Helena Vandecasteele, Joke De Winde, and Ine Garré
* A live improvisation on stage where the dancers of the Collective and the youth of Overkop enter the stage together
